Regarding the drawing: C is the diameter of the body, A is its height without the valve, and B is the total height with the valve.

Filling with sand

Before pouring in the sand, fill the filter with water up to the middle – this way you will see whether the bottom and the collectors survived transport. Then first pour in the coarse sand of 3–5 mm, when the model requires it, then the medium one – 1.5–3 mm, and on top the fine one – 0.7–1.5 mm. The water is poured in as slowly as possible so that the layers are not mixed up.

Do not connect the filter to a pump with parameters higher than its maximum. After filling, the sand level must be about 10 cm below the upper collector pipe.

How to choose a sand filter

The most important are the surface of the sand bed and the thickness of the fill, because the water passes through the sand precisely across this area. The external dimensions also matter – diameter, height and the relationship between them. A filter with non-standard proportions cannot do its job effectively.

Installation and responsibility

The filter must be installed only by a qualified technician.

Attention! The installation must be carried out by a qualified technician who connects the unit to a suitable filter pump and complies with the existing construction, process, plumbing and electrical design of a licensed designer. The electrical system must be protected by a residual-current device (RCD) according to the equipment specification. The buyer bears full responsibility for the correct installation and use of the equipment and for the condition of the electrical installation.
