Description
A small hole or tear in the pool liner is nothing to worry about. The Technicoll kit brings everything for a quick repair into one pack: a tube of Technicoll 8002 adhesive (38 g) and a piece of PVC film in the colour you choose. You can work underwater, without draining the pool.
What you get
- one tube of Technicoll 8002 solvent-based adhesive, 38 g;
- a patch of film in the colour of your choice.
Film colours
Seven options are available. The smooth film comes in three colours – blue, sand and grey. The embossed 4D film comes in four shades – sand, anthracite, blue and green. Choose the one closest to your pool lining and the patch will hardly be noticeable.

What the adhesive is for
Technicoll 8002 is designed for bonding soft PVC films, vinyl and rigid PVC – both to each other and to textile, wood, paper and cardboard. The solvents in its formula partly dissolve the surface of the vinyl and PVC, so the two parts fuse into a strong bond. That is why the kit also works on garden pond liner.
Repair steps
- Clean the area around the damage – it must be clean and degreased.
- Cut a piece of film to the shape of the hole and round off its corners.
- Apply a thin, even layer of adhesive with a brush and immediately press the patch lightly onto the damage.
- Underwater, fold the piece with the adhesive side inward, unfold it at the damaged spot and press it down, smoothing from the centre to the edges.
If the air or water is below +15 °C, the bond may be weaker. It is best to inspect the liner at the start of the season and fix small damage then.
Safety measures
The adhesive contains solvents – work in a ventilated place, away from open flames and out of the reach of children. Close the tube tightly after use. Large tears are better left to a liner installation specialist.
