Description
The 75 W model is designed for larger pools – with a volume of up to 70 m³ and a flow rate of up to 25 m³/h. It works with UV-C radiation, which disinfects the water without additional chemicals, and is made in the Netherlands. The lamp is hermetically sealed inside the housing.
Main advantages
- Fresh, clean water without the smell of chlorine and without red eyes and irritated skin.
- Reduces the use of chlorine and other chemicals by up to 80%.
- The reflective electropolished stainless steel interior adds up to 35% efficiency and keeps dirt from sticking.
- The lamp life is 9,000 hours at full capacity; after that, the UV-C output is 80%.
- Easy installation, maintenance and cleaning.
Principle of operation
The water is pumped through the housing of the unit and irradiated with UV-C light with a wavelength of 253.7 nm. In this way, bacteria, viruses and other harmful organisms are neutralized through photochemical destruction and cannot reproduce. The radiation intensity is 33 mJ/cm².
The long reactor extends the time the water spends under the rays, and the polished stainless steel reflects them back into the water. The required dose depends on the flow rate and the composition of the water – particles in it can absorb or reflect ultraviolet light.
