Description
Purpose
This nut presses the connecting element against the pump housing so that no water escapes between them. After repeated tightening the thread can wear out or the nut can crack; the connection then starts to leak and a new nut is needed.

Installation
- Disconnect the pump from the power supply.
- Drain the water from the housing.
- Unscrew the damaged nut.
- Screw on the new one, tightening it by hand.
- Turn the water on and check the connection.
Useful tip
Do not overtighten with a tool – hand-tight is enough. This preserves the thread and lets the nut come off easily at the next service.
