Finnish Saunas

Finnish saunas for indoors and outdoors

A Finnish sauna works with a heater and stones. The brands are Mountfield and Hanscraft, and prices range from 2090 to 7990 €. The cabins are for one to six people, and they come in two subcategories.

A Finnish sauna for the home

Home saunas are for indoor use. Most use German northern white spruce and have a 9 kW heater with built-in control. For example, the square Mirva is for three, Variado is a narrow cabin for one person, and Kippis XL uses hemlock and comes with Bluetooth and a radio.

Outdoor Finnish saunas

Outdoor Finnish saunas are for the yard and the garden. Hanscraft Barrel is a barrel sauna in lengths of 225, 260 and 300 cm. Hanscraft Quadra has 40 mm thermally modified pine, and model X is for 2–4 people, while XL is for 4–6. Iconix Panorama L is for 3–4 people and has a glass front.

How to choose a Finnish sauna

• decide on the place – indoors or outdoors;
• choose the size by the number of people;
• check the power supply of the heater – Heikki runs on 230 V;
• add stones, a bucket and a ladle from the section with heaters and accessories.
